The Specialty Manufacturing Co is a vertically integrated company offering the industrial and manufacturing sectors a one-stop-shop solution for products, machining, molding, and light assembly. We are looking for an Automation & Controls Engineering Intern who is seeking a hands-on experience with a dynamic and diverse continuous improvement and robotics team! The position is a paid opportunity and may lead to full-time employment for successful candidates.
Responsibilities:
  • Support design and development of control systems for automated processes
  • Assist in maintenance of technical documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Aid in testing and validation of automation systems
  • Support cross-functional teams including engineering, assembly, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct research and analysis of system performance data
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and current enrollment in post- high school education program
  • Is at least 18 years of age
  • Passionate and motivated learner

The intern will develop a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control measures, while also honing their problem-solving and communication skills. By collaborating with diverse teams, the intern will learn to integrate solutions with real-world constraints and operational needs. This position is ideal for a motivated student seeking to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic and collaborative environment, gaining valuable insights into the interdependencies of various manufacturing functions.
