The Inside Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in the success of the Valve and Dental Division by acting as a crucial resource for the outside sales team and a customer advocate. The role serves as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams, helping to drive revenue by providing product expertise, technical support, and tailored solutions.

Role Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary internal support for the Sales Managers in the Valve division. 
  • Act as the main point of contact for stocking distributors and customers seeking standard pricing, availability, and technical support. 
  •  Become a subject matter expert and super user of internal valve configurator software, handling requests for configure-to-order products from external users. 
  •  Manage document compliance requests from new and existing customers. 
  • Utilize 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) to review, modify, or create component and assembly models in support of customer applications and sales proposals. 
  •  Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and application requirements to recommend appropriate valve products. 
  •  Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring accurate pricing, lead times, and technical specifications. 
  • Collaborate with sales managers, customer service, and operations to address lead times and product customization. 
  • Manage day-to-day activity of designated customer accounts/relationships and support the outside sales team on larger custom projects. 
  •  Provide product training and support to customers and distributors. 
  • Utilize CRM software to track deals and customer contact information. 
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and product innovations within the valve market.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or 5+ yeas in a related technical field.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with machining, fabrication, assembly, and industrial automation.
  • Sales & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze customer needs and propose effective, cost-efficient solutions.
  • Tools & Software: Experience with ERP systems, CAD software, and CRM platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Connection and Culture: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to bridge the gap between engineering and sales teams.

Expected Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000 annually
